No. The Nintendo DS can not connect with the Nintendo Gamecube. The are not compatable in any way. However, the DS can connect with one game on the Nintendo Wii. That game is Pokemon Battle Revolution. Other then that the only other game system the DS can connect with is other DS.

Okay, here's some help

FIRST AND FOREMOST, MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE DEFEATED THE ELITE 4 IN DIAMOND AND THAT YOU HAVE THE NATDEX.

Okay, here's the next steps:

Put Diamond into SLOT 1 of your DS Lite

Put Emerald into SLOT 2 of your DS Lite

Turn your DS Lite on.

After that, select DIAMOND.

When you get to the screen which allows you to continue your game or start a new game, there should be an option under those saying "Import pokemon from Emerald" or something like that.

Select that.

After that, you need to select some pokemon, I think, and they will be transferred over.

You will need to head to Pal Park off Rt. 221 in Diamond to re-capture them. (Dont worry, you'd be given Park Balls to capture the pokemon, and the Park Ball has a 100% catch rate)

(Oh yeah, forgot to tell you, this is a one-way procedure; once the pokemon is in Diamond, it can NEVER return back to Emerald)
Reply:You neeed to save your GBA game in a Pokecenter. The Pokemon you want should be in your pc. Insert the game into the GBA slot in your DS. Turn on your DS and click on your diamond game. Instead of clicking Continue, click Migrate from Emerald. It will then prompt you to click the six pokemon you wish to migrate. After that you need to surf to Pal Park which is south of the town the professor's lab is in.

But there are some restrictions:

1)You must transfer 6 pokemon.

2)None of them can know an HM.

3)You can only transfer from each game every 24 hours.

4)You must know surf and I think you have to have beaten the Elite 4.

5)I think there is one more, but I can't remember....
Reply:You have to beat the Elite 4 first and then you will gain access to the Pal Park where you can catch your pokemon from other games. You can only do this once a day. You put your emerald game into the GBA slot in your DS and then you go to the main menu and select "transfer pokemon" or something like that and pick the six pokemon that you want to transfer and then go to the park to catch them.
Reply:You can't exactly trade. You only can only import [Migrate] pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and leaf green. You can't get them back and it does not work in reverse. You can migrate up to and no less than 6 pokemon, and you can only do it once a day.

First you need to Beat the Elite-4 and finish the Sinnoh Pokedex. After that, you'll need to insert the GBA pokemon game in the DS and when you get to the menu, choose migrate from Emerald [or whatever game your migrating from]. After you finish choosing the 6 your want to import, wait for it to finish and continue your current game. Go to route 221, theres a place called the pal-park.

When entering, you must talk to the guy at the counter, just choose to go in and the pokemon you imported will be in different areas. Theres no time-limit, and its not to hard to find the pokemon your looking for [But the faster you finish, the better score you get and the better berry you earn]

It depends on the action of the guitar, the gauge of the strings (thickness) and whether those strings are made of steel or nylon. My son just turned 5 years old. He will start kindergarten this year. Developmentally he's always been on the right track but he still hasn't gotten the grasp of the sp sound. For example, he'll say "fiderman" instead of spiderman, and "fongebob" instead of Spongebob. Everytime there's a word that involves sp it comes out as an f sound. I've tried getting him to slowly say ssss pppp but it just reverts back to the f sound, I've also had him try saying the words without the s "piderman" he says it for a couple times and then goes right back to the f sound.

Yes this is quite common, even up until around 6 years of age. More often than not, this is common with children who are thumbsuckers. I'm not sure if yours is or not, but this could be part of the reason for the delay. Most times the problem arises from the child inserting their tongue between their teeth while speaking. Once he starts kindergarten he should grow out of this. Hearing other children around him will help tremendously. In some cases, a speech therapist will have to be consulted.

i replaced the 's' sound such as in Cindy or seat with an 'sh' sound. i was put in a speach therapy class with 4 other children and a wonderful teacher. after one semester i was speaking correctly. to this day i don't remember ever speaking with the impediment. get him help early and it will be the best thing in the world you could do for him.

I know in some cases children may be grouped by abililities or similar diagnoses or disorders. It is not always the case. but yes that is legal. I know I have seen rooms with 16 year olds and 10-or 11 year olds in them...it depends on your school, your district, and resources. If it wasn't legal, trust me a parent would have been ALL Over it by now ;) Your situation is similar to one of the programs at my school...It is difficult to cover material and teach lessons, but you will find a way! Reply:Yes, that's legal. All the schools that my child has been in have combined all the children that technically are in different grades. This is reasonable because there are typically so few that to spread resources out would be a huge waste and impact the ability to provide services.

The end of the pilot tubing should have a pilot hood.

Black is soot from lack of oxygen. Sounds like your pilot hood and orfice need to be cleaned.

Somebody that knows what there looking at should do this.

I've been asking questions about this, and people said that I should be able to find F-22's SP color on the 1st stage. But I've never seen it on the first stage.

To unlock any of the special colors you have to defeat enemy "named" or "Ace" aircraft, most only appear on the Expert and Ace difficulties.

For that particular color, you need to shoot down the pilot named "Pagas".

More info:

Your SP colors will come as you take out all of the named enemy aces. Your CFA-44 Nossy SP scheme will come when you have obtained 50 medals (all campaign and 15 service medals). Some say 44, but it wasn't until 50 for me.

Your Emmerian assault record for Garuda 1 will unlock when you have completed all Stovie records and you can finish your Stovie records by hunting down all of the named aces (which has to be done on expert or ace difficulty level, free mission is ok) and Strigon team.

By the way, in the description for #12, it doesn't say which mission I obtained it in. The description says," Following the death of Ilya Pasternak, he broke away from from his fellow team members and surrendered to to Emmeria. This may actually be related to beating Pasternak on a specific difficulty level, but I'm not sure. Stovie Records that you are missing and the corresponding mission.

12 - ? - It's an SU-33 and a Strigon team member. Focus on Strigon throughout the game, and you'll get it.

Reply:It's a good idea to give your dogs heartworm medicine. As far as I know, there hasn't been a scare with pet medications such as these. It was a scare with petfood, because of the ingredients and the way they processed.

Heartworms are spread by mosquitos, when they take blood from an infected animal. They can transfer the heartworms to another animal, or human. Cats and humans can host heartworms, but our symptoms and reactions are different, and somewhat less detrimental.

It can be expensive to prevent heartworms in your dog; however, it can be even more expensive to treat, if you dog gets heartworms. It's a good idea to use a heartworm preventative.
Reply:Talk to your vet and get his best advice. If I lived in an area where heartworm occurs, I would definitely do it. Heartworm is a horrible disease for a dog to contract and it is a killer and I would never want my dog to get it.

I live in an arid climate where mosquitoes are uncommon and our vets have never seen a heartworm case in our area except for animals that have moved here recently, so animals here are not typically on preventative. But this is not the case is most parts of the US - if I traveled with my dog or moved elsewhere I would do it without a second thought.

If you want your answer...ask your vet what the treatment would be for your dog if he got heartworms because you didn't treat him. It's not pretty.

DO NOT EVER give your dog heartworm preventative without having a heartworm test done first. You run the risk of killing your dog by giving the preventative if he already does have them.
Reply:If you dont' want to give your dog a pill then go with Revolution that is applied to the skin and prevents heartworm and also fleas, ticks, ear mites, sarcoptic mange and other stuff. It's a bargain and an insurance policy in my opinion. But it is your dog and in the end it all lies with u.

I foster, and lots of times adopt dog that are put in shelters around my county that can not be easily placed into homes. All of my dogs are tested then put on heartworm treatment. So in order to help you decide, list the pros and cons. They usually make the decision for you.

Pros of giving the meds:

You know your dog is protected. Just ask your vet what is best for each breed you have.

By treating your dog monthly, you eliminate the possibility of a very expensive and very painful treatment.

The disease is very painful. Heartworms actually live and feed off your dogs heart. As they multipy, your dogs heart becomes weaker and weaker. In an effort to make up for the damage the worms are doing the heart enlarges. and without treatment, the end result is eventually death.

The treatment itself is very risky and not always sucessful in saving your dogs life. Not to mention very expensive.

If you are the type of person to whom an animal is just an animal, and the loss of an animal really does not affect you then you may not be botherd by this disease.

But, if you are the type of person who loves and cares for your dogs.....then not giving the medicine could turn out to be one of the worst mistakes you ever make. How will you cope with the having to make a decision that could kill your dog. And if your dog ever did end up with heartworms, could you make the decision to put your dog down if it became necessary.

Sorry to be so blunt and cold sounding. But unfortunately it is the truth. I have seen the effects that heartworms have any it is terribly sad.

If you do decide to treat them...make a list of concerns and questions to take with you to the vet. Then also talk to him about other treatment options. If you vet is familiar with also treating large breed livestock, ask about using the wormer ivermectin...its availabel OTC at feed supply stores. This is how I treat all my dogs. Just make sure you follow the dosing instructions you vet gives you and not what is on the label.

Ask a child who's released from foster care at 18 with no skills, no home, and no support system. Talk to parents who have been accused unjustly of some sort of child abuse because of someone else anger??? It happen to me and if I hadn't had a daughter who was almost 18 at the time and who could set them straight my 5 year old would have been taken from me. At the time my daughter was in school, in girls scouts, in therapy and none of these mandated reporters called social service someone who was angry with me did. Why was the person angry with me?? Because I wouldn't allow her to bring drugs into my house. You have to be really sure that the child is being abused and neglected purposely by the parent. In cases of proven neglect and abuse the child is removed and the agency works with the parents to regain custody of the child. There are times when its' evident that the parents don't really want to regain custody of the child/children. There are times when addiction has taken over the person's life and it's not in the best interest of the child to be reunited with their parents, but in the majority of the cases the parents are in trouble and just need some help getting their lives back together. And in a lot of case's its' a case of false accusations.

Reply:I've always heard the secret is to seal the meringue to the crust. Make sure the entire pie is covered to/over the crust so you can't see the filling anywhere. Then bake. There should be absolutely no gaps in coverage anywhere.
Reply:Here are a few tips:

1. Make sure the eggwhites are room temperature when you make the meringue.

2. Use a glass or metal bowl and make sure it is ABSOLUTELY clean! No residue of grease, oil or anything in it.

3. Don't make meringue when it is humid weather. It just doesn't work as well.

You have to beat that level as quickly as you can. When you go through all the tunnels at the end of each section, you are warped to a different area depending on how long it has taken you to beat the previous areas. Run through the level and beat it in under 2 minutes (I think it was) to gain access to the next level.

Reply:I think you should get a DS lite. It's not too pricey and it's packed with features like wi-fi capability and local wireless play. And it's got plenty of great games like Animal Crossing Wild World, Mario Kart DS and my favorite, Metroid Prime Hunters(which all have wi-fi play by the way). It's a handheld, which is a plus also!

I agree completely with you, but I know that it will continue to happen all the time because voters are so enamored with wins, one of the most arbitrary measures of a pitcher's ability.

The example that always comes to mind for me is 1991, when Bob Welch won the AL Cy Young. He had an amazing record of 27-6, and his ERA was an excellent 2.95. However, Roger Clemens had a very good record too, 21-6, and an incredible 1.93 ERA. I understand that wins are nice, but an ERA over 1.00 better than the winner? That's ridiculous! Clemens was essentially punished for not being on as strong a team.

I'm not sure who gets stiffed this season, but Dan Haren is a candidate. He's the best pitcher in the AL, but the voters might go for Beckett because he's on a first-place team and has a load of wins.

A Cy Young winner should be chosen as the Cy Young winner for THEIR season not the teams season.
Reply:The knee-jerk reaction is to say "no way", but in reality you have two very separate issues here with different answers.

As to blown saves, this factor shouldn't count much against you. All you can do is a starter is control the game while you are in the game, and that means givning your team a chance to win.

In this day and age, even the best starters are pulled late in the game, so wins are very subject to how well your pen pitches.

Lack of supprt is a different issue. Your job as a pitcher is to win games, or leave the game with your team ahead. That means pitching well enough to win. That means giving up 5 when you score 6 or only giving up 2 when you score three.

Some of the games greatest pitchers (Jack Morris, Andy Petite, David Wells, among others) were masters of pitching well enough to win. There is something to be said for that.

So, the run support issue must be looked at with a little grain of salt.

I remember a few years back, in Randy Johnson's last year with the Diamondbacks before going to the yankees he had 290 stikeouts, 2.60 era and a .90 whip but had a 16-14 record. Roger Clemens ended up winning the Cy Young with 218 Ks, 2.98 era a 1.16 whip and an 18-4 record. Regardless of record, who was clearly the most dominant pitcher? This was one of the biggest robberies I could remember. The only award that should take into account what a team does is the world series. Individual awards such as CY Young and MVP should not involve any team statistics at all.

Reply:I'm assuming you're talking about actual indentations or grooves on your GBASP. For something like that, the plastic has been torn and cannot be replaced. Technically you could take a butane torch and try and melt it back down, but if you're posting on this site asking for suggestions then you most likely do not have the expertise necessary to do this. Instead, you might try and buffer it down with a rag and some toothpaste. The toothpaste is a harsh abrasive and should help sand down the grooves slightly. It'll take a LOT of rubbing though, and you will not have a perfectly smooth GBA SP anymore.

Your best bet is to always start with a low total so you gain some early bids. If it's too high then you'll scare away quite a few bidders but by going low you also risk people not being interested in the GBA and that could force you to sell it for less than you expect. I guess it really depends on which games are included in the deal.
Reply:To buy this item used at a game store they are 59.00 and that is without games. I would research my system with the completed deals on eBay and set my price accordingly. I have purchased three of these for my kids at different times through the year off eBay the first I paid 60.00 with shipping with a game case only, the second I paid 70.00 with shipping with 6 games and case and chargers and the last was right at Christmas and I paid 85.00 with shipping two games all in the original cases. Reply:Check to see if there is a manufactures label on it. Generally, delicates like that require a hand washing in cold water with a gentle detergent such as wool lite. One of the baby detergents may be suitable as well. I believe there is one called Dreft. I would fold it over a hanger and let it drip dry from the shower rod.

I'm going on 23 May 2008, that means tomorrow...and will stay in one of the chalet in Pantai Cahaya Bulan. I'm from Sungai Petani Kedah, should i take Kulim Grik Highway? How long will it take to reach Kota Bahru? Anything that i need to be aware of?

Use Kulim/Grik highway, after Grik, drive slowly to enjoy the spectacular view of mountain, lake, forest etc etc. Stop at Tasek Banding, both side of the beautiful bridge has got a chalet and the other a resort if you intend to stay overnight, even if just stop for tea to witness the marvelous scenery !

Always start your journey in the morning because just in case something happen to you or your car, there is always sufficient times to look for assistant/help ! If you are driving alone, never stop for anything, even if some body hit/bang your car, just go to the nearest police station.

Also please drive carefully as the East/West highway [ from Grik of Perak to Jeli of Kelantan ] is quite winding and going uphill til Tasek Banding then all the way downhill. A lot of lorry balak also use this highway, so please take note. If you are lucky, you may spotted elephant crossing the road ! Then stop at a distance, never honk those animal ! If you have company, stop at any way you think is worth your times, park your car safely then take some pictures ! Some of the view are simply breath taking !

The whole journey should be about 5 hours !

Get the SP. The GBA screen is hard to see. Backlight makes a HUGE difference. You can buy some wonky flashlight thing to plug into a GBA so you can light up the screen, but in the end you'll spend the same amount of money.

And yes, all GameBoy and GameBoy Color games work on the GBA (and GBA SP).

I dont have a sewing machine, but I do understand the basics of sewing. I have a few diffrent sized needles and some thread, and thats about it.

I want to hem my jean legs because they are too long on me, and I dont know how, so if you could tell me the materials I need and how to do it step by step that would be great. Or if you know of a website that is easy to follow that would be ok to.

Same with the patch. I dont know what to do exactly (the hardest part for me is at the end when you have to tie the string. I never quite get it right.) So if you could tell me what I need and how to do it step by step that would be great. Once again an easy to follow website would be ok to.

Go to a store where they sell material. Ask them for the tape that you you would use to fasten two pieces of material together. I am sorry I can't think of the name but what you do is turn up the hem, put the tape between the two materials and you iron it. The heat of the iron heats the tape and melts it into the materials and fastens them together. Now you can do this with both the hem and the patch- - - Pin them both where you want them. Thread your needle (I prefer a small to medium size needle as it goes through the materials easier) Put your needle into the material from where there is one then straight into the two materials. Go about 1/2 " (orshorter) and do the same until you have finished the project. When you get to the end wrap the thread around your needle a couple of times and sew it through the double material and pull it tight. Then make long stitches through the middle (Back and forth a coulpe of times and cut the thread.

After you beat the Elite Four, go to Pal Park. Pal Park is near the bottom of the map, follow the water route going east and you'll be there. In Pal Park, the person will tell you to choose six pokemon to "migrate". All pokemon you want to transfer have to be in PC boxes or you can't transfer, so put them in the PC and then talk to the guy. Good luck!

My son got a Gameboy SP for Christmas and thought that immersing it in water to clean it was a good idea. The light on the screen will come on, but that is it. You can sometimes hear music from one of his games, but no picture. Is it ruined, or is there something that can be done to maybe fix it???

The best thing would to have been to not turn it on until it was 100% dried out. Since that is no longer an option you may want to disassemble the unit down to the circuit board and let it air dry for several days (until EVERYTHING is completely dry). If you reassemble it and it does not work, it is probably scrap. This method also works for cell phones dropped in beer (don't ask me how I know) . . .

Lastly, you might contact Nintendo and see if they have a replacement/repair policy for a cheaper price than buying a new unit.

ROASTED TURKEY CARCASS BROTH:

INGREDIENTS:

Carcass from a 12- to 18-pound cooked turkey

4 unpeeled onions (about 2 pounds)

2 carrots (1/2 pound)

3 stalks celery, with a few leaves

1 teaspoon black peppercorns

2 bay leaves

PREPARATION:

If using the original roasting pan from turkey, pour drippings into a 1-quart glass measuring cup and set aside. With hands and sturdy scissors or knife, break and cut carcass into smaller sections. Place the pieces in a single layer in turkey roasting pan or in a clean roasting pan.

Roast in a 500 degree oven until well browned, 35 to 40 minutes.

Move the turkey pieces to the 12- to 16-quart pan. Pour pan drippings into the cup with other drippings. Place the roasting pan across 2 burners over high heat. Add 2 cups water and stir to loosen browned bits, about 3 minutes. Pour the liquid and the loosened bits into the pan with the turkey pieces. Skim and discard the fat from the cup of drippings, then add the drippings to the pan.

Quarter onions. Cut carrots and celery into 3-inch lengths. Add the vegetables, peppercorns, and bay leaves to pan with bones. Add enough hot or boiling water to the pan to cover the bones and vegetables by about 2 inches (about 5 to 5 1/2 quarts total). Cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 8 to 12 hours.

Set a large colander over a 6- to 8-quart pan. With tongs and a ladle, lift most of the bones and seasonings into colander. Let drain, then discard the contents of colander. Set pan with colander in sink. Very carefully (use mitts or potholders), pour broth through colander. Lift colander to drain; discard what's left in the colander. Let the broth cool about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Skim fat from broth and discard, or chill until broth is cold, then skim fat. Use the broth immediately, keep refrigerated in an airtight container up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 6 months.

Makes 4 to 5 quarts.

Bring soup to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer for an hour or so. Add more water as needed.

Remove all turkey bones and unwanted debris (i.e., skin, cartilage, etc.). There you have it. It's kind of a culinary scrapbook of your Turkey Day.

Boil it, pick the meat off. You can reduce the broth from boiling but I usually had to add some turkey stock for flavor. Bring to a strong simmer and add chopped onion, celery and carrots-cook until tender. Add meat back in and egg noodles, cook until noodles are tender. The seasonings and amount of liquid and veggies you use are a matter of personal taste.

Reply:I think your pitching is really good, but I'd bet this league only has like 6 or 7 owners. If that's the case then I guess it really isn't that good. Carp and Harden will help when they get back their rotation spots.

I would keep Willis and Wickman. I'd drop Rogers and Gaudin, cause hey wont get as many K's, and you've got good ERA guys to help keep that down.
Reply:I would make a trade and trade both of them for a better player then maybe trade that player for something you need. I would trade Wicky and Willis for a guy like Juan Pierre, with your team there is no way you are winning stolen bases. Or move Brian Roberts to a team that needs a second baseman and then move A. Jones to your Util spot. You need to make some moves come playoff time and unlike many teams you have the players to move.

Reply:Wickman definetly, he's like 38 years old and Rafael Soriano is a better pitcher and if Wickman struggles, Soriano will get the saves. I would also look to trade Roberts and Gaudin or Willis or Rogers for a better pitcher, possibly Chris Young or Ben Sheets. I would also consider trading for Pedro Martinez because comes playoff time he will be back and healthy and than be a top starter.

Instead of dropping anyone else, work out a 2 for 1 deal for the other SP you are looking for.

You didn't show if you have any bench batters, so who you get depends on who you give up.

Santana is always the best choice for the 2nd half.

So, how about something like Utley and Wickman (who you could drop) or Rogers for Santana and just put Roberts in as your 2B.
Reply:I would try to see if someone will fall for a package of Andruw Jones and Willis for an upper-level SP. Harden may well be done for the year (again!!!), and I feel your pain there. Any time a guy throws 2.2 innings after a DL stint and then has to visit Dr. Yocum, it is never good. Carpenter is not a given either. If you could get a very good SP for those two, I would do it in a minute. Jones has hurt your team enough for one year, as has Willis. Try to move them before nobody will give you anything for them.

Reply:To build on Jurazon's answer, you would deploy as SF. Their primary purpose in life is protecting their aircraft and airfields from threats. An additional mission that goes along with that is force protection of the FOBs on which the airfields are located.

You actually see "combat" in every MOS. It's doing your job in a combat zone. Sometimes it's nearly identical to being in the states, with the chance of some sort of indirect fire death tacked on. "Combat" is often confused with "direct fire ground combat". As far as direct fire ground combat, it's possible in this MOS. With that being said, it's not the infantry; enlisting in the infantry is one of the only ways you can virtually guarantee being in gunfights, if that's what you want.

Combine butter, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla in medium saucepan and heat over medium heat until butter is melted. Decrease the heat to low, add the chocolate, and whisk until melted. Turn off heat, add the powdered sugar, and whisk until smooth. Place the mixture over a bowl of warm water and dip the doughnuts immediately. Allow glaze to set for 30 minutes before serving.

My roomate has windows xp black edition and I have xp pro sp2. I recently tried to network them. All I could get was me being able to see his files but he could still not access mine. I'm actually still currently working on this. I'll will fav u and message you later. In the meantime go to

Control Panel -%26gt; Network Setup Wizard -%26gt; Select the appropriate options and make sure the "Workgroup" name is the same on both computers. Choose the final option that allows you to "repeat this process on other computer" then Restart your computer

Repeat this process on the other computer and restart that one too. Now you should be able to "My Network Places" folder on the desktop and view his shared folders.

If both the computers you are networking have floppy drives try the final option of "create network setup disc" and just put that in the other computer and set up the network with that floppy. I cannot try this method so it may work.

I'll message you when I get a lil more time to find a solution to this. Good luck

Additionally, could two different recording speeds be used on the same VHS tape? (For example: The first half of the tape being recorded at SP and the second half at EP).

In addition to audio and video tracks there is a control track on the VHS tape that tells the machine whether a program is in SP, LP, or EP. When you record a program you tell the machine which mode to use and it changes the control track to comply as often as you wish.

Go to the animal shelter and ask them. Tuck in your shirt, be sure your shoes are tidy, and go right in. This will show them that you know how to get there and that you have initiative. When you get there, tell them your cousin (remind them of her name) used to work there.

It is likely that they have restrictions on employees or volunteers who are under 18, because of insurance and legal liability. If they can work thru that, the jobs you can do are cleaning cages, emptying trash, feeding dogs, walking dogs, answering the phone, filing...

If they seem like they might take you, then when you get home call your cousin and ask her will she phone them and put in a good word for you.
Reply:Check out each shelter in your area, then go to them personally and take a look at them, then talk to them in person and let them know you want to volunteer, this is what I did and have been at the same shelter for 9 years now...

I love it, and by the way, in person is the best way to do it, they will have you fill out a questionnaire about you and dogs, and fill it out completely and honestly, they seem to know if you are not telling the truth, by the way you handle yourself around dogs........

I was contacted 2 days later and have been there ever since.

it is a great feeling to help dogs that need help, we need more volunteers all the time due to the growing number of poor dogs brought in.....

You'll need an adult to do it with you. They have to stay with you too. They can't wait in the car or read a book or anything.

Call over to the shelter and ask. They'll be happy to tell you all about it. Better yet, go on the website.

As to what you'll be doing?

Anything that interests you. All the shelters I've volunteered at want you to do what you like best. I trained the dogs, but my friend is good at (and likes, if you can believe it!) paper work. She would do office work, and I'd walk dogs.

Tasks that always need doing at a shelter:

~Poop patrol. There's a never ending supply of poop. LOL!

~Laundry. Again, never ending supply.

~Socialization and training. Spending time with the animals. Show them people are fun and great. Get them out of the cages for a little while. Training makes dogs more adoptable.

~Grooming. Clean, pretty dogs get adopted faster.

~Stuffing envelopes, updating the website, general office work.

~Public education

The list is endless.

It's really worthwhile.

Any photo editing program will work, if you have not been able to download your video, Your dv camcorder needs a firewire connection (ieee 1394) in order to download video, your PC probably did not come with a firewire port, so you will have to buy one and install it, since most computers (except possibly brand new) don't come with a firewire port, your camcorder did not come with a firewire cord so you have to purchase a cord too. Your camcorder did come with a USB cord and that is used for downloading stills from your camcorder.

I am guessing you want to know what the playing difference is, not the looks difference. Well, majorly, the GBA only plays GBA games while the GBA SP allows you to play the old GBoy and GBColor in addition to GBA games (the entire spectrum).

As to getting it in HK/UK, you should definitely be able to at any game store. It has been out for a loooong time. ;p

As for the Micro, that is an even smaller version of the Gameboy and I think the price is similar. However, my only gripe is that my eyes get tired faster than on a regular GBA SP.

If you really don't like the smaller screens the GB line offers but still want the games, you can get a GBA emulator that plugs up to your Gamecube (if you have one) and you can play the games on the TV. You lose in portability but I think its more fun (my opinion). The price for that is also somewhat similar depending on what you want. Just GBA games would be about US$30 and the play-all one should be about US$50-60. Check out the price where you are and see if you can find a place that sells used games and console, they might happen to have one.

Some see SP models as a little make over way for Nintendo to make a few extra bucks once people stop buying old, original versions (Gameboy Advance), which of course aren't as pretty as SP versions. Expect a Nintendo DS SP which is much shinier than the normal DS pretty soon.

It is a plasma, from the model no. you gave, and you are "hosed," as the last poster said. Use it as it is for as long as you can, and then its the trash can. It will cost as much as a new one to fix it. When you replace it, just remember the screen on an LCD is even more prone to damage than a plasma.

It does attach to the end of your dryer and is used so that the air coming out is not so strong and is spread over a larger area of your hair. It is used for people with curly hair so that you don't get that dryer frizz. What you do is put gel or mousse on your hair and hold the diffuser up to your hair in small sections and scrunch the hair with your fingers as it dries.
Reply:You are right, a diffuser is an attachment to a hair dryer. You can use it in several different ways. You can attach it and scrunch your hair while drying it to make curls or you can use a round brush and blow you hair straight. I am currently taking 1500 mg a day of the glucose. and condridine. The orthopaedic sugeon said it would take about 6 weeks to see any improvement. He also suggested that I avoid running, walking on a treadmill but walking in a pool would help.

takes 3-5 months to "notice" and even then it's only marginal. If you happen to miss a few days, (if you miss more then a week) then you will undo what little of improvement you have made....

Reply:You need to have a game that is Game Boy able.
Reply:At least on the GBA original, there was a port that you would use to plug into other GBAs. This is the same port that you use to plug the GBA into the 'cube. I don't know if the GBA SP has it, but that's where the cable plugs in to. If the GBA SP doesn't have it, you're out of luck.

I have two dogs that live outside. I took them to the groomers and afterwards I began to see flees in the car and on me! I would like to get them out of the car.

Roll up the windows in the hot sun they'll die.

I almost recommended a household "bug bomb" for your car - but then I thought about all the electronics in a car and wasn't sure whether they would be affected by the fumes.

Speak with a good exterminator who is licensed and bonded and will furnish you with references.

You can try dusting the carpet and other cloth surfaces with Seven dust (from the Home Center) and leaving it there overnight - then vaccuum up the dust. That MIGHT get rid of the fleas - but I'd speak with an exterminator for something a little more effective. You're going to have to dust all the surfaces - the roof, the walls, the seats - everywhere - but an exterminator may have a spray that would perhaps work better.

First, get some kind of flea repellant on your dogs, such as Front Line or Revolution.

Next, get professional help to treat your yard for fleas: It's a sure thing that the little blood-suckers are hiding there, and have already laid eggs.

Third, sprinkle Borax in your house and car, then vacuum after 20 minutes. And keep vacuuming every day for at least two weeks: That's about how long a flea's life-cycle is.

If your dogs come in the house, you will want to wash your curtains and bedding too.

Reply:See if you can get your hands on "diatomaceous earth". It is a powdery dust, like baby powder, with no odor

and dry. It works by dehydrating target pests...like fleas. When they get the powder on them, the diatoms cut through their waxy exoskeleton which in turn leads to massive body fluid loss. They will then die of dehydration. You sprinkle this stuff on your carpet, preferably after it has been shampooed...since you can't shampoo it for 6 months. You "rake" the dust down into the nap of the carpet. After that you can vacuum as usual. Some pest control companies use it, but you can really do it yourself for much less. Its available online.

Edit: In case I wasn't clear...the advantage to this product is that it is safe for pets AND that one application lasts for about 6 months.

Vacuum both the house and the carpet in both the car and the house. If bagless cut up a flea collar in the container before, then empry and wash it after. If it has a bag then dispose of the bag immediatly.
Reply:moth balls. They will kill the fleas, but are also dangerous to you, get 2 boxes and just put the open boxes in your car over night. Then get rid of the boxes, vacuum out the dead fleas and air your car out well before getting in. My grandmother told me about this trick years ago and it has always worked.

Reply:I would call an exterminator and have them spray the house the yard and my car. I would also think about changing groomers for sure, but would also tell them. Surely some client brought it to them. they need to properly exterminate also. You dont have to take your dogs back, but a courtesy call would be in order. make sure your dogs are on a monthly prevention for fleas and ticks and dip them or give them another flea bath etc. u cant have them back in the car, yard or house, bringing the situation right back. good luck!

Reply:Yes go ahead and use the enforcer spray in the car the house the dogs house everywhere you can and then go to a local garden center and get a flea spray or powder to treat the entire yard as long as a flea lives in your yard the dogs will get re infested. Also while you are out get Frontline for the dogs and use it monthly lots of other problems come from flea bites and ticks.
Reply:Well, if you saw then on YOU, they could ALSO now be in your home, even if the dogs didn't bring them in, so plan on bug bombing your house as well as your car.

Get the cheap bug bombs and set one off in the car and at least two off in your home. Stay outside for at least 4 hours while you do this.

Repeat this every 4 days for 3 times.

Now you might think this is overkill, but the bug bombs do NOT kill the eggs, just the live fleas, so you have to do it every 4 days for 3 times to kill all the fleas that hatch from eggs that were there when you did your first treatment.

I suggest you get frontline plus and treat the dogs each month to prevent them bringing fleas home in the future. It's better for t heir health as well.
Reply:Sprinkle Enforcer flea killer powder on your carper, let set for 15-30 minutes then take it to car wash and vacuum out. Oh and it smells like cinnamon so your car will smell good too. Good luck

Well, when they first came out they were $89.99

That doesn't mean you should sell it for that amount, it's used.

Sell it for half price to a friend or sell it on EBay for 40% less than what you paid for it.

However, if you include games and accesories then sell it for 30% less to either a friend or on EBay.
