It's not working on Windows Movie Maker...I don't know why. What program can I use to put my videos on the computer and edit them?
What program do I have to use to edit video from my Olympus SP 700?
Any photo editing program will work, if you have not been able to download your video, Your dv camcorder needs a firewire connection (ieee 1394) in order to download video, your PC probably did not come with a firewire port, so you will have to buy one and install it, since most computers (except possibly brand new) don't come with a firewire port, your camcorder did not come with a firewire cord so you have to purchase a cord too. Your camcorder did come with a USB cord and that is used for downloading stills from your camcorder.
Reply:You can use Adobe Premiere which by the way is a professional editing software. You can find more tips on doing that at my video guide.

Is there such thing as a Gameboy Advance SP?
If so, what is the difference between a Gameboy Advance and a Gameboy Advance SP? Can you get them in Hong Kong or the UK?
Is there such thing as a Gameboy Advance SP?
I am guessing you want to know what the playing difference is, not the looks difference. Well, majorly, the GBA only plays GBA games while the GBA SP allows you to play the old GBoy and GBColor in addition to GBA games (the entire spectrum).
As to getting it in HK/UK, you should definitely be able to at any game store. It has been out for a loooong time. ;p
As for the Micro, that is an even smaller version of the Gameboy and I think the price is similar. However, my only gripe is that my eyes get tired faster than on a regular GBA SP.
If you really don't like the smaller screens the GB line offers but still want the games, you can get a GBA emulator that plugs up to your Gamecube (if you have one) and you can play the games on the TV. You lose in portability but I think its more fun (my opinion). The price for that is also somewhat similar depending on what you want. Just GBA games would be about US$30 and the play-all one should be about US$50-60. Check out the price where you are and see if you can find a place that sells used games and console, they might happen to have one.
Hope this helps and good luck.
Reply:The gameboy advance SP is the one that kinda folds up ie the sceen is in the lid?
The gameboy advance is more of a rectangle type shape with the screen in the middle.
You can by them in the UK, try ebay for some real bargains. With the Nintendo DS %26amp; DS Lite coming out, you can pick them up quite cheaply.
Reply:Gameboy Advance SP has a flip screen, chargeable battery, and a light up screen for playing in dark areas. Some see SP models as a little make over way for Nintendo to make a few extra bucks once people stop buying old, original versions (Gameboy Advance), which of course aren't as pretty as SP versions. Expect a Nintendo DS SP which is much shinier than the normal DS pretty soon.
Reply:yes a gba sp is like a ds with one screen
Reply:Yes there is Gameboy Advance SP. Unlike the Gameboy Advance it has a front let screen, smaller in side and a recarable battury. Otherwise it is the same.
Reply:A gameboy advance SP is the same as a normal advance, but it is square, and it folds up (rather like a flip phone). it also has a lit screen, so you can play in the dark! And an onboard re-chargable battery. I got mine in the UK, from Woolworths a few years ago, but they will definately sell them in hong kong too.

Where can I get a schematic for the controller on my used Cal Spas hot tub? Controller model is: SP-3-A?
i don't know any other specifics other than there is another trademark on the controller cover that is 2 capital letters, the first is a backward "R" and the second is either a "J" or a "U". this is NOT a vacuum actuated controller
Where can I get a schematic for the controller on my used Cal Spas hot tub? Controller model is: SP-3-A?
I can do that for you. It will take me until 11/9/2007. I am a Cal spa repair center. Unfortunately going out the door on vacation for three days. I'll dig it up for you. So your tub is digital? You might want to try www.balboadirect.com and call their technical service.

I dug out my old Pokemon Gold and Silver games and I tried to play them on my Game Boy SP using the Monster Brain accessory. However, in order for me to play the game using the Monster Brain it said the colorization needed to be activated. Anyone know how to play those games using the Monster Brain on SP?

I have a Samsung SP-p4231 My son broke the glass screen on it is there anywhere that can fix this?
I dont wanna loose out on my 1100$ investment. I dont think there is a way but it is worth a try.
I have a Samsung SP-p4231 My son broke the glass screen on it is there anywhere that can fix this?
It is a plasma, from the model no. you gave, and you are "hosed," as the last poster said. Use it as it is for as long as you can, and then its the trash can. It will cost as much as a new one to fix it. When you replace it, just remember the screen on an LCD is even more prone to damage than a plasma.
Reply:If its a plasma TV, its hosed.
Only way to fix that is to get the plasma panel replaced. Which cost just as much as a new TV.

What is a diffuser (sp?), and how do you use it?
Hey! So I think that a diffuser attaches to the end of a hair dryer, but what are the ways you can use it?
What is a diffuser (sp?), and how do you use it?
It does attach to the end of your dryer and is used so that the air coming out is not so strong and is spread over a larger area of your hair. It is used for people with curly hair so that you don't get that dryer frizz. What you do is put gel or mousse on your hair and hold the diffuser up to your hair in small sections and scrunch the hair with your fingers as it dries.
Reply:You are right, a diffuser is an attachment to a hair dryer. You can use it in several different ways. You can attach it and scrunch your hair while drying it to make curls or you can use a round brush and blow you hair straight. You can also use it after you have curled your hair with a curling iron, in order to lock your curls in.
Reply:A diffuser is for curly hair that gets rid of some frizz on your hair. Just rotate it slowly around your hair
Reply:you use it for scrunch drying your hair to give it a curl!
towel dry your hair, then add some curling/volumising moose! then turn your head upside down and blow dry your hair resting the diffuser against your head, occasionally scrunching it!
it usually works best if you have a natural curl to your hair! x
Reply:a diffuser volumizes your hair and adds texture to curls and waves.you use it when your hairs wet i recommend using mousse on your hair before diffuesing it then scrunch it lightly to get beachy waves. It adds texture to your hair and is a fun new loook to wear.

How long does it take for the knee to feel the effects of taking glucosemene(sp)?
I am currently taking 1500 mg a day of the glucose. and condridine. The orthopaedic sugeon said it would take about 6 weeks to see any improvement. He also suggested that I avoid running, walking on a treadmill but walking in a pool would help.
Reply:1500mg.. daily, and dont miss a day..
takes 3-5 months to "notice" and even then it's only marginal. If you happen to miss a few days, (if you miss more then a week) then you will undo what little of improvement you have made....

How do you connect a gameboy advance sp to a gamecube?
I have the cable but i dont know how to actually do it. If u could tell me step by step it would be great. Thanks
How do you connect a gameboy advance sp to a gamecube?
what i know is that you need some special disk thats able to play those game boy advance games
Reply:You need to have a game that is Game Boy able.
Reply:At least on the GBA original, there was a port that you would use to plug into other GBAs. This is the same port that you use to plug the GBA into the 'cube. I don't know if the GBA SP has it, but that's where the cable plugs in to. If the GBA SP doesn't have it, you're out of luck.
Reply:ok you go out and by a connect cabel and put your game in and follow the instructions

What's the difference between cappuciono (sp), expresso, latte, mocha, etc.? Thank you for yor help.?
Espresso: A concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing very hot, but not boiling water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency between extremely fine and powder.
Cappuccino: An Italian coffee-based drink prepared with espresso, hot milk, and milk foam. A cappuccino differs from a caffè latte in that it is prepared with much less steamed or textured milk than the caffè latte with the total of espresso and milk/foam making up between approximately five and six ounces (148-177 ml).
Latte: A type of coffee drink made with hot milk.
Mocha: A mocha is a variant of a cafe latte. Like a latte it is typically one third espresso and two thirds steamed milk, but a portion of chocolate is added, typically in the form of a Chocolate syrup, although other vending systems use instant chocolate powder.
Americano: A style of coffee prepared by adding hot water to espresso, giving a similar strength but different flavor than regular drip coffee (the strength of any americano can be varied by increasing the number of shots of espresso added).
Macchiato: An Italian beverage, is espresso with a small amount of hot, foamed milk. Traditionally it is made with one shot of espresso, and the small amount of added milk was the "stain." However, later the "mark" or "stain" came to refer to the foamed milk that was put on top to indicate the beverage has a little milk in it.
What's the difference between cappuciono (sp), expresso, latte, mocha, etc.? Thank you for yor help.?
Espresso - STRONG concentrated coffee - served in small cups which hold about 1/4 of what the normal mug holds. An acquired taste.
Mocha - chocolate flavoured coffee.
Latte - coffee with lots of hot milk
Cappucino - made with espresso, hot milk and hot frothy milk foam.

All of these drinks are espresso drinks.
Espresso--A very small amount (a shot glass full) of very concentrated and strong coffee. It's sweeter and a lot bolder than your usual cup of folgers and is usually served in very small amounts
A cappuccino is a drink that has espresso in it as well as a large amount of foam and milk (more foam than milk)
A latte is a drink that has espresso and steamed milk topped with a small amount of foam. This drink can have different syrups and flavors added to it
A mocha is the same as a latte, except that it has chocolate flavoring in it. Sort of like hot chocolate but with espresso. It is named after a type of coffee grown in Yemen that tastes like chocolate.
Hope that helps! :)
Reply:Mocha: coffee with milk and chocolate
Latte: Espresso with milk

Reply:For all these drinks you must add coffee, which comes from the expresso beans and is called expresso. You then steam milk to foam/heat it up. If you just leave it as steamed milk and the coffee(expresso) then you have a latte. If you steam the milk further and make it mostly foam, you have a cappuccino. When you begin to add flavors and syrups to lattes you have different drinks (ie when you add chocolate mocha sauce to the latte(steamed milk and expresso) you have a mocha)

I have two dogs that live outside. I took them to the groomers and afterwards I began to see flees in the car and on me! I would like to get them out of the car.

Roll up the windows in the hot sun they'll die.

and its 'fleas' :)
Reply:I hate fleas - they're leftovers from the Plagues of Egypt.
I almost recommended a household "bug bomb" for your car - but then I thought about all the electronics in a car and wasn't sure whether they would be affected by the fumes.
Speak with a good exterminator who is licensed and bonded and will furnish you with references.
You can try dusting the carpet and other cloth surfaces with Seven dust (from the Home Center) and leaving it there overnight - then vaccuum up the dust. That MIGHT get rid of the fleas - but I'd speak with an exterminator for something a little more effective. You're going to have to dust all the surfaces - the roof, the walls, the seats - everywhere - but an exterminator may have a spray that would perhaps work better.
Reply:Oh dear.
First, get some kind of flea repellant on your dogs, such as Front Line or Revolution.
Next, get professional help to treat your yard for fleas: It's a sure thing that the little blood-suckers are hiding there, and have already laid eggs.
Third, sprinkle Borax in your house and car, then vacuum after 20 minutes. And keep vacuuming every day for at least two weeks: That's about how long a flea's life-cycle is.
If your dogs come in the house, you will want to wash your curtains and bedding too.
Good luck!
Reply:See if you can get your hands on "diatomaceous earth". It is a powdery dust, like baby powder, with no odor
and dry. It works by dehydrating target pests...like fleas. When they get the powder on them, the diatoms cut through their waxy exoskeleton which in turn leads to massive body fluid loss. They will then die of dehydration. You sprinkle this stuff on your carpet, preferably after it has been shampooed...since you can't shampoo it for 6 months. You "rake" the dust down into the nap of the carpet. After that you can vacuum as usual. Some pest control companies use it, but you can really do it yourself for much less. Its available online.
Edit: In case I wasn't clear...the advantage to this product is that it is safe for pets AND that one application lasts for about 6 months.
Reply:Call the exterminator-have him spray your car also-tell him its for fleas. Or use flea spray-target the carpet and upholstery, be sure to get under the seats.
Vacuum both the house and the carpet in both the car and the house. If bagless cut up a flea collar in the container before, then empry and wash it after. If it has a bag then dispose of the bag immediatly.
Reply:moth balls. They will kill the fleas, but are also dangerous to you, get 2 boxes and just put the open boxes in your car over night. Then get rid of the boxes, vacuum out the dead fleas and air your car out well before getting in. My grandmother told me about this trick years ago and it has always worked.
Reply:Great idea about closing up the car! Also think about changing groomers
Reply:Talk to the Vet. Sprinkle Sevin dust on the car carpet, leave it outside all day, then get the inside of the car vaccuumed. You might put Advantage or Frontline on the dogs to kill the fleas on the dogs. Be careful that you didn't get fleas in the house.
Reply:I would call an exterminator and have them spray the house the yard and my car. I would also think about changing groomers for sure, but would also tell them. Surely some client brought it to them. they need to properly exterminate also. You dont have to take your dogs back, but a courtesy call would be in order. make sure your dogs are on a monthly prevention for fleas and ticks and dip them or give them another flea bath etc. u cant have them back in the car, yard or house, bringing the situation right back. good luck!
Reply:get a spray that contains permethrin
it will also kill carpet mites, which are probably there as well
permethrin kills ALL bugs
Reply:Yes go ahead and use the enforcer spray in the car the house the dogs house everywhere you can and then go to a local garden center and get a flea spray or powder to treat the entire yard as long as a flea lives in your yard the dogs will get re infested. Also while you are out get Frontline for the dogs and use it monthly lots of other problems come from flea bites and ticks.
Reply:Well, if you saw then on YOU, they could ALSO now be in your home, even if the dogs didn't bring them in, so plan on bug bombing your house as well as your car.
Get the cheap bug bombs and set one off in the car and at least two off in your home. Stay outside for at least 4 hours while you do this.
Repeat this every 4 days for 3 times.
Now you might think this is overkill, but the bug bombs do NOT kill the eggs, just the live fleas, so you have to do it every 4 days for 3 times to kill all the fleas that hatch from eggs that were there when you did your first treatment.
I suggest you get frontline plus and treat the dogs each month to prevent them bringing fleas home in the future. It's better for t heir health as well.
Reply:Sprinkle Enforcer flea killer powder on your carper, let set for 15-30 minutes then take it to car wash and vacuum out. Oh and it smells like cinnamon so your car will smell good too. Good luck
How can I get flees (sp?) out of the carpet in my car?
Roll up the windows in the hot sun they'll die.
Reply:I would think the same product you would use to get them off your dog would do the trick.
and its 'fleas' :)

How much did a Gameboy SP cost when it forst came out?
I want to sell mine to a friend but I don't know what I should start from.
How much did a Gameboy SP cost when it forst came out?
Well, when they first came out they were $89.99
That doesn't mean you should sell it for that amount, it's used.
Sell it for half price to a friend or sell it on EBay for 40% less than what you paid for it.
However, if you include games and accesories then sell it for 30% less to either a friend or on EBay.
Good Luck !!

How do you program the cheat codes into game boy advance sp?
i have sims urbz for game boy advance sp and i need to use some cheat codes i found on the web, but i dont know what to do. can someone help me out.
How do you program the cheat codes into game boy advance sp?
either pause it and start pushing buttons or there might be a menu in the options. or when you pause it there might be a cheat option in the start menu. if none of those things work it would likely be just punched in during gameplay.
theres that or you can get a gameshark just dont activate tons of codes at once with a gameshark cause it could render the device useless

How long does it take to get from Madrid, SP to Rome, IT on the trains and driving?
We are looking to travel between the two cites and are tryin to geta better idea on the time it will take. We would prefer the cheapest or quickest way.
How long does it take to get from Madrid, SP to Rome, IT on the trains and driving?
Paris-Madrid Hotel Night Train (Elipsos Hotel Train)
depart MADRID 19:00 arrive PARIS next day 08:27
Paris-Rome Hotel Night Train Prices (Artesia night servce)
depart PARIS 19:00 arrive ROME next day 9:42
These are night trains so you ha to stay half a day in Paris (not the worst thing in the world!) an you trip, without the stop-over, is at about 28 hours.
By car I think is about the same time, a day or more, of non-stop driving. Not the safest option.
From 23 february 2007 Easyjet will fly you from Madrid to Rome in a couple of hours for 20 Euro plus taxes.
Have a nice trip anyway...

Well to not make you more confused, there is Langoustines which are a lobster and then there are Langostino's which are more closely related to crabs.

Dentists: What are my options for fixing a giminated (sp) tooth?
I am currently wearing braces and my orthodonist wants to fix this tooth, but he said that I may have to get it pulled. I really don't want to do that. I am going to the dentist about it soon, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice.
Dentists: What are my options for fixing a giminated (sp) tooth?
THIS DEPENDS ON HOW THIS IN FACT APPEARS. IF THE ORTHO BELIEVES IT WOULD BE BEST TO EXTRACT THEN TELL HIM YOUR QUESTIONS/CONSEQUENCES EITHER PRO/CON OF DOING THIS.

Is there a danger of me getting Toxicplasmosis (sp?) from my 4 indoor cats?
I'm trying to get pregnant and I'm some people were telling me to not scoop my cat's litter anymore. Does anyone know the chances of getting this disease if my cats don't have fleas and don't go outside?
Is there a danger of me getting Toxicplasmosis (sp?) from my 4 indoor cats?
There is always a chance to pick up Toxoplasmosis. The chances of you catching it and becoming sick or infecting your baby are very low. Most human doctors exaggerate the risks and tell pet owners to get rid of their cats.
That is not necessary, however precautions should be taken.
If possible, let someone else in the house clean the litter box. It is the only way to eliminate your exposure.
However, if you must clean the litter box yourself, here are some tips:
1. Wear a cloth mask - a bandanna will do, but the best are those blue masks that yardworkers use, one that covers your nose and mouth. That will take care of the inhalation part.
2. Wear disposable plastic gloves, which are cheap and come in a big box. You can find them at most medical stores and some stores such as Walmart.
3. Use clumping litter instead of the regular. The less dust to deal with, the better.
4. Wash your hands thoroughly afterwards with a good soap for at least 30 seconds.
If you have a garden that is outside, where outdoor cats might have access, make sure to wash all vegetables/fruits brought inside. You'll also need to thoroughly wash your hands and wear gloves while out gardening.
Clean your cat's litter box daily. The Toxoplasma parasite does not become infectious until 1 to 5 days after it is shed in a cat's feces.
Also, it would be best not to adopt any other cats while you are pregnant and definitely keep your current cats indoors.
Otherwise, feel free to enjoy your cats and good luck with the baby!
Reply:People panic an awful lot about toxoplasmosis, but the chances of you catching it from your cats are very low (you're much more likely to get it from gardening or eating undercooked meat). If your cats don't go outside, the risk is close to negligible. Just wear rubber gloves when cleaning the litter tray or get someone else to do it.
This is a good no nonsense article about pregnancy and toxoplasmosis.
"Because it's difficult for cats to transmit toxoplasmosis directly to their caregivers, a pregnant woman is generally unlikely to contract the disease from her pet cat. Several factors keep the chance of such transmission low.
First of all, only cats who ingest tissue cysts acquire infection. Within the feline population, this would be limited to outdoor cats who hunt and eat rodents, as well as cats who are fed raw meat by their owners. In addition, only after a cat is first exposed to T. gondii does he typically excrete oocysts, and he does so for only two weeks. An outdoor hunting cat is often exposed to the disease as a kitten and is, therefore, less likely to transmit the infection as he ages.
Secondly, because oocysts become infective only after one to five days, exposure to the disease is unlikely as long as the cat's litter box is changed daily.
Finally, since oocysts are transmitted by ingestion, in order to contract toxoplasmosis, a woman would have to make contact with contaminated feces in the litter box and then, without washing her hands, touch her mouth or otherwise transmit the contaminated fecal matter to her digestive system."

Reply:The chances are relatively low of you contracting toxoplasmosis from your cats, though it's best not to take unnecessary chances.
If and when you become pregnant, you can request that your ob/gyn perform a test to see if you've already been exposed to the bacteria (many people have been exposed to it in the routine course of their lives, especially if they have lived with cats).
If you have been exposed to it already, then your body will have developed antibodies to it and you don't have to worry about it. If the test indicates you've never been exposed to it, you'll need to stay well away from the cat litter until after you give birth.
Reply:The doctor told me (when I was pregnant last year) that I was not to touch the cat litter at all. My cats stay indoors and are clean and healty but he said that it did not matter. I wasn't allowed to touch it at all. I would suggest that you avoid it as well. Better to be safe than sorry, agree?
Reply:have your cats tested for it, if they come up negative you won't get it.
Otherwise, they can be treated for it.
Reply:There is a chance of developing it and U should NOT touch the litter or keep it in a room where U spend a lot of time.
Reply:You are at more risk from eating undercooked beef, and outdoor gardening, than from your healthy indoor cats. The safest thing would be to have someone else scoop while you're pregnant (it's spread from feces), but simple good hygiene goes a long way. Disposable gloves, and hand washing, would prevent any type of infection. Discuss this with your vet who can tell you how your cats can be tested for this, and also explain what this disease is and how it can be passed. This is something that the vet is probably better informed about than your ob/gyn. You yourself can also be tested to see if you have already been exposed to this, and have antibodies in your system already.
There are so many other things to worry about when pregnant, and your cats needn't be one of them. Good luck to you!
Reply:Toxoplasmosis is passed in the feces. Many human doctors tell their pregnant patients they have to get rid of their cats. This is NOT the case. As long as you do not touch the feces, you have no chance of contracting toxoplasmosis. Many people have already had toxoplasmosis in their lifetimes. It can cause little to no symptoms in some people, while others will experience flu like symptoms. If you are the only one who takes care of the litterbox, there are ways to minimize your exposure. You can get a mask and rubber gloves to wear while you are cleaning the litterbox. There is also a box out that has a screen in it that sits on the bottom of the pan and when the cat goes, you just lift the screen up and all the litter falls through, while holding the excrement for easy disposal. I believe that once you are out of the first trimester, the danger is much lower, but you would have to confirm that with your OB. But please don't let your OB tell you that you have to get rid of your cat. I saw many cat owners give up their cats because the OB scared them so badly.
Reply:Usually there is a bigger risk with outdoor cats, but just to be safe, stay away from the litterbox when you get pregnant.

I'm 14, and today in school, a girl in my year did. I didn't really get along with her, but I'm just worried something bad could happen. An ambulance was called and she was taken into hospital. Thats all I have heard.
Thank-you in advance
What could happen if you take 12 aspiren (sp?) one after the other, in a short period of time?
If she took that much she chances an overdose. If they are tylonol (sp?) or something like that she would get really tired and her system would shut down.
Likely she had her stomach pumped to remove the pills before they could get absorbed, or if enough time they would give her combative meds. Something that would negate the effects on her system. Then she would just be watched for a day or so to make sure she is alright.
Its not smart of her to do something like that because its VERY dangerous, she wouldn't even feel like her life was in danger if not treated, but she was lucky to be taken to the hospital.
Reply:It can cause her nose, stomach and other organs to bleed. Tylenol, aleve, ect can do irreversible damage to the LIVER if abused! These drugs are meant for short term use - ie, headache, toothache- (before you see a doc ) like the next day...
Reply:you can get violently ill,its obvious that this girl needs help badly thats a lot of aspirens to gulp down. shes goig to be hospitalised for a while.
Reply:7 of any pill is enough to make you very very sick. Except Benadryl believe it or not. Very good stuff it is!
Hope she's alright.
Zakhaev.
Reply:Oh I am sorry I hope nothing bad will happen to her. Well basically it is REALLY bad for your stomach.

In resident evil outbreak can unlocked characters obtain character sp items of the character they're based on?
I want to know if a character such as yoko z or like the stick figure people taht cna be unlocked in resident evil outbreak can pick up sp items for specific characters. Like since yoko z is based on yoko, can she pick up one of yokos four special items in a scenario? Or does it have to be yoko? I think you can do it with unlocked characters in file 2 but what about one?????
In resident evil outbreak can unlocked characters obtain character sp items of the character they're based on?
I'm not sure, but try with the most simple sp item, this sp item is for Yoko, so try with a related Yoko character, then choose easy/normal and if you can get the first sp item listed below, look for the 2 sp item, you can't get, either, then you must use Yoko Suzuki:
Item Name: Manly Handkerchief
Scenario: 1
Set Pattern %26amp; Difficulty: EASY/NORMAL B, HARD/VERY HARD A
Room Name: 1F WOMEN'S BATHROOM
Location : The right corner of the sink. Face the direction of the door
Description: Kevin gave me this handkerchief. He may not look it, but he's a
really nice guy...
Item Name: Cute Strap
Scenario: 1
Set Pattern %26amp; Difficulty: EASY/NORMAL A
Room Name: 2F STAFF ROOM
Location : Between the refrigerator and the cabinet drawer
Description: This is the kind of strap people in Japan use on their cell
phones. It has a cute little dog on it.
Item Name: "Unlock the Brain"
Scenario: 1
Set Pattern %26amp; Difficulty: EASY/NORMAL A, HARD/VERY HARD B
Room Name: 2F OWNER'S ROOM
Location : The right side of the book shelf facing the door
Description: "Unlock the hidden potential of the human mind." What are human

Whats the best way to take the ciggarette(sp) smell off of your body, out of your mouth?
annnyone know? THANKS!
Whats the best way to take the ciggarette(sp) smell off of your body, out of your mouth?
Change your clothing; gargle with Listerine.
But really, cigarette smoke permeates everything it comes in contact with. It will be in your hair and on your skin for some time even after a shower; until your whole system can flush it.
Reply:Shower. Brush your teeth well and include your tongue. The smell may be deeper than that so you might need to gargle with mouthwash.
Reply:take a shower and brush your teeth. does it hurt to use your brain. maybe some mouth wash.

Does anyone have a recipe for mondazi(sp)? A bread commonly served in some areas of Africa?
My fiance goes to Africa several times a year for missions and every time he comes back he raves about this bread called "mondazi". He describes it as slightly sweet and lightly fried and he said they usually serve it during afternoon tea or just for a light snack. I can't find a recipe anywhere!

How long does it take for salomonella (sp) to take effect?
I recently ate some uncooked cookie dough about 2 hours ago (couldn't resist) and now I am feeling very unsteady and drowsy.
Could this be salmonella already?
How long does it take for salomonella (sp) to take effect?
It takes anywhere from 6-72 hours before the onset of symptoms after the ingestion of Salmonella. If it was only two hours, then it's probably not Salmonella. You shouldn't eat raw cookie dough becuse of the raw eggs in it. Salmonella is most often associated with the consumption of raw or undercooked chicken and eggs. Cookie has a high sugar content, making it hard for the Salmonella to survive in it.
Reply:Salmonella requires more time. The organism has to first get to your gut, then get established there. No toxin is not produced until the Salmonella reaches a population of several million. Normally gastroenteritis from a salmonella infection takes 2-4 days.
Cookie dough is a rather poor source for a major dose of salmonella. Now if you ate a raw chicken that would be different.

Reply:well i just want to let u know that i have made batches of cookie dough for the sole purpose of eating them raw and nothing ever happened to me because of it...I don't think you can get salmonella from it...I think it's mostly in meat and stuff. Could it be something else you did? I hope you feel ok
Reply:First off salmonella is mostly in uncooked poultry.
Second off, I have food poisoning, salmonella, from eating a piece of chicken that was mostly cooked, except for one little part, of at which I thought was okay and thought it would have been steamed. Honey, it's been almost 2 weeks now and I still feel like crap. They say that it comes on within' 24-48 hours and goes away. That's a bunch of bull crap.
My mother had been food poisoned at a fast food place YEARS ago and still gets sick from time to time because of it.
Here's you a link about food poisoning that I've had saved in my favorites bookmark...

I hope this has helped ya and I hope your feeling better soon!
P.s. you shouldn't eat uncooked cookie dough for the fact that it's fattening! lol But I'm not sure if you can get food poisoned from that. I use to do it all the time, but got sick from the sugars. So, it may be something just as simple as that. Not unless someone else is sick the way you are, will the doctor say it's food poisoning. As for me, I cooked it for myself and luckily not my boyfriend and I knew I ate it half raw. So, that's how I got diagnosed.

I want to use flank steak with Gorgonzola cheese portabello, bacon or prosciutto(sp) do I beat the flank stk?
I want to use flank steak, do I need to tenderize the flank steak first? I was thinking of filling it with gargonzolla cheese, proscuitto or bacon, and BBQ or broil it. Maybe even add portabello mushroom! I know it will be rich but thought it might be good. What do you think any ideas or sugestions. This is for dinner Thursday night, so appreciate a quick responce.
I want to use flank steak with Gorgonzola cheese portabello, bacon or prosciutto(sp) do I beat the flank stk?
Do tenderize it. Also use the cheese and prosciutto inside. Then use the bacon as an outer wrap around as a fillet mignon would be. Broil or bbq would be great because the bacon will keep the steak moist. Broil or bbq the mushrooms also and serve on the side maybe with a Bearnaise sauce.
Reply:flank is an wonderful steak and your version sounds intriguing. Tenderize it well both sides. Use a mallet or a fork (a lot of jabbing) if you are marinating as well. You will want to marinade it some just to further tenderize it, but you do not have to be heavy with it. The steak will be flatter and wider by far, but much nicer. when you cut it go against the grain. Yummy enjoy, you just brought back memories.
Reply:sure, I would beat the crap out of it. Broil it...maybe a port wine demi-glaze.....
Reply:Everyone had great ideas! Your idea sounds wonderful too! I just bought two flank steaks today and I am going to borrow a few of your ideas if you don't mind. My only suggestion is to marinate it first. I always marinate my flank steak before cooking. It really needs it to get tender. And remember...cut against the grain!!! ;)
Hope it works...sounds yummy!
Reply:Yes tenderize it. The first time I cooked a flank, I did not tenderize it and it was like chewing on leather.
Reply:yes tenderize it and slice it against the grain to break up the toughness. You could also marinate it. it does sound very rich but trying new things is good. good luck!
Reply:I would beat it because the flank steak is one of the less tender cuts, ..also that will give you a nice uniform shape and thickness to work with while stuffing. Otherwise sounds really good..I would definitely sear then grill it.
The port wine demi glaze sounds good, you could add the portabellos with some fresh garlic
Reply:tenderize with sharp serrated bread knife

How can you fix a broken LCD screen on a Game Boy advance SP?
It looks like watermarks on the screen, but there is no crack on the screen itself.

you got lucky. my screen is totally cracked on the inside. i think it costs more to repair than it does to get a new SP. what i did, i got a new one and i use the old one as a controller for the game boy player on my gamecube. since you dont need a screen for that, it works.

How do I mount a mirror on a hollow core mahogany(sp) closet door?
The mirror is about 1/4" thick and measures 15 1/2" W and 55 1/2"H. It's not a heavy mirror. What type and size of anchor do I install into the hollow core mahogany door? What type of fastener do I use on the mirror to attach the mirror to the anchors on the door?
How do I mount a mirror on a hollow core mahogany(sp) closet door?
If it's fairly flat on the back, you could use a tube of Liquid Nails. I'd lay the door on the floor, apply Liquid Nails, center the mirror, let it dry and rehang the door. However, you'll never get the mirror off without destroying the door.
Reply:go to hardware store and get mirror hangers, through srews away that come with them and use butterfly wing nuts, will have to use washers as well
if you plan on leaving there for ever would most surely use liquid nails

How long are platies (sp?) pregnant for? And do they lay eggs or is it live birth?
We have an aquarium in our office with a fish that we believe is pregnant. How can we tell? Should it be isolated? A couple of the other platys won't leave it alone.
How long are platies (sp?) pregnant for? And do they lay eggs or is it live birth?
A platy is normally pregnant for about 28 days after insemination. They give live birth to around 30 fry typically, though the number can be any where from 1-60 and still be considered normal. If you have at least one male platy with her, then odds are very, very high that she is in fact pregnant. The other fish bothering her is normal and typical and can only be avoided by separating her. If you do not separate her the majority of the fry will not survive as the other fish will eat them. You might consider though what you would do with 30 or so babies that would need separate housing for around 2 months and more care than you can give at the office. It may be best to allow nature to take it's course and be happy with the few that will grow up in the tank.
MM
Reply:If she is pregnant, she should be due about a month from the time she got pregnant. If she is real big then she would probably be due soon. They are livebearers so you would have live babies. They eat very finely ground fish flakes. You could seperate her until she has the babies and then you need to remove her, otherwise she will eat the babies.
Reply:Gestation for live-bearing tropical fish, such as Platys, are usally in the 4 week catergory. Some can be a bit longer.
Reply:IT IS ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND THE BABIES OF PLATIES ARE SMALLER THAN GUPPIES OR ANY OTHER LIVEBEARERS
SO IT WILL BE HARD TO RAISE THEM BUT I KNOW TO FEED THEM YOU MUST TAKE A PINCH OF FISH FLAKES AND PUT IT INTO A PLASTIC BAG AND TAKE A SPOON AN MUSH IT INTO POWDER
Reply:Leave it alone unless you want the hassle of taking care of the babies. I think its 6 weeks but i'm not sure. They are livebearers. If the other fish are hurting the other fish than you might want to isolate them.
Reply:i dont know how long they a pregnant for, I four platies and two got pregnant but they had their babies a week apart. It;s a live birth.
My fish used to have problems giving birth, something would go wrong, they couldn't give birth and then they would die. I solved this by sprinkling a little extra sea salt in the tank. I recommend you go to the petstore and do that.

I would recommend getting real plants for your tank for the fry to hide, a breeding net or a 3way plastic breeder is very stressful for the females
The fry is actually much healthier and grows faster if left in the tank
Hope that helps
Good luck

How long does it usually take for a flower shop to make a crosage and a boutineer? (sp?)?
my prom is this saturday, and my bf and i havent ordered a crosage or a boutineer yet. should i be worried? or will they be able to make it in time?
How long does it usually take for a flower shop to make a crosage and a boutineer? (sp?)?
They can make them fast but I am sure they are extremely busy this time of the year so I would go ahead and get them ordered.
Reply:They can make them up in a couple of hours, IF they have the flowers!!! By ordering them several days ahead of time, you will be able to get the flowers and colors that you want. Order them tomorrow!!!
Good Luck!!
Reply:Your better flower shops are aware of prom dates and make a special effort to have all supplies on hand.
It does not take long at all (matter of minutes ) to make a corsage or boutineer. It depends a lot on how many orders they have ahead of yours.
You should be O.K. if you order now.
Reply:I am a floral designer, and it typically takes me 15 minutes to do the set, so there shouldn't be any issue there, we get all our corsages made by that Friday afternoon, except for real delicate stuff. We took orders up to the day of prom, but big shops sometimes stop taking them a week before. Anyways, you should be able to get a set, but there's a chance you won't get exactly what you want, since they may not have time to get a specific flower, so you may have to settle for something basic like white that will match anything. So I would call around, and see what they can offer you... Good luck!

I have acquired some Lyhops sp. (Living Stone) plants. How best to care for them?
I am not green fingered! There are 4 Lythops sp plants and 1 unidentified plant I assume is another form of Lythops. Each 1 is about 2cm high - they do not all appear to be in perfect condition but I have no real cause for concern that they may soon die. I water them only when the soil dries out and try to keep them in the light. I live in a 1st floor flat and can not put them outside. I do get direct sunlight most of the day.

This question has gone four days without an answer. It looks like your "living stone" plants are native to South Africa. A Yahoo search for "living stone plants" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 71 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.
Good luck with your search.

I am a Spanish teacher and I am looking for a good book originally written in Sp. that teenagers would enjoy?
The book shouldn't be too long or too complicated for learners of Spanish. We have read Cajas de carton with great success.
I am a Spanish teacher and I am looking for a good book originally written in Sp. that teenagers would enjoy?
El Principito by Antoine De Saint Exupery. I read it in High School and really enjoyed it. It's a classic!
Here is a website that has the summary: http://www.elresumen.com/ and click on El Principito
This site also offers up other books, too, so you should have some fun there.
Reply:There's a book called "Ladrón de la mente" by Elías Miguel Muñuz that I've used in my 2nd year college classes. It's a book meant for students - about 140 pages, with vocab help. It's the diary of Marisol and the fascinating stranger that she meets. There's time travel, Spanish history, and computers, plus love (of course).
It's published by McGraw-Hill. (And there are all sorts of activities and notes for the teacher that are in the back of the book)
Other than that, I would seriously look at short stories. I loved all the little "microcuentos" from Latin America. One teeny tiny story with so much to say!
I also love "Caperucita en Manhattan" by Carmen Martín Gaite, but I don't think it's easily available in the US. (I got mine in Spain). It's about a little girl and the Statue of Liberty - it's very charming. (It's a novel)
Reply:I personally love Gabriel Garcia Marquez but that might be a little advanced for your class.
Reply:"Cuentos" , "Tortuga" or "Bless Me Ultima" by Rodolfo Anaya are all great books for teens. Another neat feature some these books share is that most have both the spanish and english text.
Cuentos is a book of short stories. Depending on how much time you have to dedicate to book it may be the best option.
The books were published by the University of NM and on their web site you can order them. The college is generally good about coming through with discounts for educators.

Will a Olympus SP 560 UZ camera be compatible with a Canon Selphy ES1 compact photo printer?
Can I "plug" the camera into the printer somehow and print pictures or use the xD card from the camera and plug that into the printer? Thank you!!
Will a Olympus SP 560 UZ camera be compatible with a Canon Selphy ES1 compact photo printer?
Maybe, but usually the card readers on printers connect to the computer and have to be copied to the computer and then using a photo program, print to the printer using the printers "properties" to tell the printer that you are using photo quality paper and what size the print paper is as well as the size of the image.

How do you take the lens off an Olympus SP-550UZ Camera?
I do not see a lens release button! How in the world do you take it off to change it? Can you even change it?
How do you take the lens off an Olympus SP-550UZ Camera?
The SP series is not intended to chang e lenses, however you can modify the existing one. You'll need the appropriate CLA tube from Olympus (my wife's C5050 used CLA-4) and then you can used either the wide angle (WCON) conversion lens or the teleconver (TCON) lens
Reply:You don't. The lens is permanently attached.

How much heat must be removed from a 120 g block of copper to lower its temperature from 150°C to 20°C? The sp
Q=m·c·(ΔT)
heat in Joules=Q
mass in grams = m
c = specific heat capacity
ΔT= (Final Temperature - Initial Temperature)
Coppers specific heat capacity is listed as
0.385 J/g·C°
So laying out the equations gives us
Q=120g of Cu x 0.385J/g·C° x (20°C - 150°C)
or (-130°C)
grams and C° cancel during multiplication leaving only Joules...
Q = -6006 J
1 cal (calorie) = 4.1840 J (Joules)
I got this from google's calculator, although some sites list it as just 4.18 or 4.1860 and or even 4.1868. So like anything in chemistry the answer you get depends on the values you choose from the start. Just because a value has more significant values present doesn't mean its more correct though, some rounding has always been involved like it or not...
okay so just using what I got it is then found that
-6006 J x 1 cal/4.1840 J = -1435.47 cal
so about 1435 calories will have to be removed to change the temperature of120g of Copper from 150°C to 20°C.

How many electron concentrations are present in an sp hybrid orbital?
Please explain your answer so I can fully understand it. Thank you so much!!
How many electron concentrations are present in an sp hybrid orbital?
A single orbital can hold at most 2 electrons. An sp hybrid is a combination of an s and a p orbital, each of which donating 2 electrons. So an sp hybrid orbital can hold 4.

Birria Family Recipe
From Chelsie Kenyon,
This traditional Mexican dish is often sold by street vendors in Mexico. Birria can be made with beef, veal, pork, goat or lamb making it quite versatile. Many people will use more than one type of meat, combining one, two or three kinds in one dish. Poultry is not traditionally used in this dish. You will need a Dutch oven or large casserole dish with a tight fitting lid and a rack that sits inside.
INGREDIENTS:
3-4 lbs meat with or without bones
4 guajillo chiles
3 ancho chiles
3 cascabel chiles
1 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground thyme or 2-3 sprigs
6 garlic cloves, peeled and finely diced
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1 onion, peeled and coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 cup of water
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped cilantro
Corn tortillas
PREPARATION:
Start Chile Paste
Toast the chiles on a hot pan until browned, but not burned. Remove the seeds and veins and cover with hot water for 15 to 20 minutes. When done soaking, process in blender with the vinegar to make a paste.
Meat Rub
Mix the salt, pepper, cloves, oregano, cumin, cinnamon and thyme. Rub the meat well with this mixture. Then coat the meat with half of the chile paste. Let marinate overnight.
Cook the Meat
Fill a Dutch oven with water. Add the chopped onion, bay leaf, garlic and the remaining chile sauce to the water. Place meat on a rack that sits just above the water. Place lid on and bake for 4 hours at 350 degrees.
Prepare the Dish
Remove the meat and place into serving bowls. There are two ways to finish. The first way has no broth. Remove bay leaves from liquid. If liquid is too watery, reduce by boiling in a small pan. Coat the meat chunks with the reduced chile sauce. Use meat to fill tortillas and top with onions and cilantro. The second way is to let the liquid cool slightly and remove the bay leaves. At this point some people blend the liquid. Add enough hot water to make at least 2 cups. Ladle the liquid over the meat and top with chopped onion and cilantro. Serve with warm corn tortillas.

What is the SP sensor and why does that fuse aka alternator fuse keep blowing?
Its on a honda civic, the fuse labeled alternator/sp sensor keeps blowing. Alternator was bad and new put on.
What is the SP sensor and why does that fuse aka alternator fuse keep blowing?
there is a short to ground. have you checked the battery?
Reply:That 7.5 amp fuse is shared with the alternator including the various sensors:
Vehicle Speed Sensor (SP may be short for speed)
HO2S
EVAP two way valve/EVAP control canister vent shut valve
There is a short in one of these components.
Is your alternator functioning properly? Does it produce 13.5 - 15.1 volts at the battery terminals when you rev it up to 2500 RPM? If not, double check that the wiring harness and the white ground wire is securely connected.
Was the alternator removed from the top or the bottom? If it was removed from the top, some wires may have been disconnected to ensure enough room for space was made. Make sure all those wire harness are secured and reconnected. Inspect all of the components above for any short/loose wiring.
Good luck!

Like $99
Reply:129.99, which is basically the price of just buying a DS Lite
So it'd be a better deal to sell your gameboy and then buy a DS
Reply:They did have a deal going a couple weeks ago where you could turn in your Gameboy Advanced SP for a DS Lite for $99.
Reply:Don't bother trading it to gamestop. They'll likely give you about 10 bucks for it, IF you get lucky and the guy behind the counter isn't a jerk. If he is, you'll get closer to 5-7.
Now that Nintendo is retiring the Gameboy line, you won't get anything from Gamestop. Try selling online, on eBay or Craigslist. The same goes for buying. I'm willing to bet you can get a DS for cheaper there than you can in most stores.

Is there a way to do curlean (sp?) photography with a good digital camera?
Curlean photography - where the electrical current in a living organism shows up in the photo... Is there a way to do this with just a good (high end) digital camera?
Or does this take some special equipment?
Is there a way to do curlean (sp?) photography with a good digital camera?
Kirlian photography refers to a form of contact print photography, theoretically associated with high-voltage. It is named after Semyon Kirlian, who in 1939 accidentally discovered that if an object on a photographic plate is connected to a source of high voltage, small corona discharges (created by the strong electric field at the edges of the object) create an image on photographic plate. [1]
Kirlian photography is completely different from "Aura photography," in which a colorful image is produced of a persons face and upper torso, using various methods of biofeedback. People commonly use the term "Kirlian photography" to erroneously refer to "Aura photography," and vice-versa. The terms have almost become interchangeable, even though the techniques are completely different. This leads to confusion among those who not familiar with the two different techniques. The Kirlian technique is contact photography, in which the subject is in direct contact with the film which is placed upon a metal plate that is charged with high voltage, high frequency electricity. In Aura Photography, no high voltage is involved as with the Kirlian technique, and no direct contact with the film is made. The images made with an Aura camera do not result from coronal discharge, the colors are projected with fiber optics.
Kirlian's work, from 1939 onward, involved an independent rediscovery of a phenomenon and technique variously called "electrography," "electrophotography," and "corona discharge photography." The underlying physics (which makes xerographic copying possible) was explored as early as 1777 by Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (see Lichtenberg figures). Later workers in the field included Nikola Tesla; various other individuals explored the effect in the later 19th and early 20th centuries. Yet Kirlian took the development of the effect further than any of his predecessors.
In controversial metaphysical contexts, Kirlian photography, Kirlian energy, and so on, are sometimes referred to as just "Kirlian." Kirlian made controversial claims that his method showed proof of supernatural auras, said to resemble a rough outline of the object like a colorful halo. One of the more striking aspects of Kirlian photography is its reputed ability to illuminate the acupuncture points of the human body[citation needed]. An experiment advanced as evidence of energy fields generated by living entities involves taking Kirlian contact photographs of a picked leaf at set periods, its gradual withering being said to correspond with a decline in the strength of the aura. Scientifically, it is considered more likely that as the leaf loses moisture it becomes less electrically conductive, causing a gradual weakening of the electrical field at the drier edges of the leaf.

How can tell if a jalephino (sp?) pepper will be really hot or "mild?"?
When I make jalphenio poppers on the grill, sometimes they are very mild and others they are very hot. I always make sure I get the membranes and the seeds out. Could it be that the pepper is to ripe and that makes it hot?
How can tell if a jalephino (sp?) pepper will be really hot or "mild?"?
The wider the "shoulder" (the part of the pepper where the stem is attached) and the blunter the tip, the milder the chile.
Generally, the smaller the chile the hotter it is.
Color is not related to fieriness. Red chiles are green ones that have ripened.
Fiery chiles can be made less fiery by soaking them in warm salt water for a couple of hours.
Reply:Usually the ones that are firm and have what are called veins on them are the hot ones.....also, if you are taking out the insides (along with the seeds) that will also take a lot of the " hot " away.
Reply:Its hard to tell without actually tasting them. A lot depends on conditions they are grown and harvested.
Just like some oranges or apples are sweeter than others.
There is a tolerance for hot peppers that you get over time...the same pepper wont seem as hot then.
All Jalepenos are pretty mild to me cause I eat a lot of them.
Reply:Jalphenio peppers are not really hot. To see if a pepper is hot, rub it on the inside of your forearm.
If you can feel it, is hot. If you can feel it on the
outside of your forearm, is HOT. If you can feel it with your fingertips, is HOTTTT !!!, as a Hobenero may be
Reply:i really dont eat them taht much but you can kind og smell if it's going to be hot
Reply:The ones with a wood-grain in them are going to be hotter than those that are simply plain shiny-green.
Reply:i know and u can trust me im mexican . the way that u can tell if a jalapeno is hot or not u need to check the color of it. if the jalapeno is just green then is not that hot but is the jalapeno is orange and green then that chile is going to be really hotttt!
Reply:"Size and color give you the best clues about when to harvest hot peppers and sweet peppers. Most peppers will cycle through different colors and shades while ripening. As explained, fully ripe color will vary depending on the variety of pepper. Compare the color of those you suspect are beginning to ripen with others that are obviously immature.
Some chile varieties will develop "corking", or small stress stripes, on the pepper surface when they reach full size. This a great clue that peppers are ready for early harvesting. A few of the peppers which show corking are certain jalapenos, habaneros, Hungarian Hots, Chilcostles, and Fresnos. "

Reply:I never know there is a way to tell certain jalapeno has stronger taste then the others. And I will surprise if there is.
Reply:Make sure your jalapenos are bright green, not dark green, brown, or approacing red.
You can also split them in half, and remove seeds and membranes before grilling. That is where most of the heat is, and by cutting them out, you are reducing the threat of pain.
Reply:I don't know, but I have six jalapeno plants in my backyard. The peppers are just starting, so I guess I'll be watching this post closely to see if there is an answer, besides: bite it. :^)
We ate a little one yesterday. Pulled a tiny little grape tomato off the vine, and a little pepper. Sliced them up and ate them............ Very tasty. Not very much heat. Hopefully they'll come around.
Reply:The red ones and ones with little grey scratches are the hottest by far. Smaller, green ones are generally safer but you can't always tell. I grow and love them, too.
Alcohol, (wine, margaritia, etc) will take away the oils that carry the pain.

Fleming recounted later that the date of his breakthrough was on the morning of Tuesday, September 28, 1928. At his laboratory in the basement of St. Mary's Hospital in London (now part of Imperial College), Fleming noticed a halo of inhibition of bacterial growth around a contaminant blue-green mold Staphylococcus plate culture. Fleming concluded that the mold was releasing a substance that was inhibiting bacterial growth and lysing the bacteria. He grew a pure culture of the mold and discovered that it was a Penicillium mold, now known to be Penicillium notatum. Charles Thom, an American specialist working at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, was the acknowledged expert, and Fleming referred the matter to him. Fleming coined the term "penicillin" to describe the filtrate of a broth culture of the Penicillium mold. Even in these early stages, penicillin was found to be most effective against Gram-positive bacteria, and ineffective against Gram-negative organisms and fungi. He expressed initial optimism that penicillin would be a useful disinfectant, being highly potent with minimal toxicity compared to antiseptics of the day, but, in particular, noted its laboratory value in the isolation of "Bacillus influenzae" (now Haemophilus influenzae). After further experiments, Fleming was convinced that penicillin could not last long enough in the human body to kill pathogenic bacteria, and stopped studying penicillin after 1931, but restarted some clinical trials in 1934 and continued to try to get someone to purify it until 1940.
