Does the Game Boy Advance SP play original Game Boy games?

I have a bunch of games from the 90's for the original Game Boy. I know that the GBA SP plays Game Boy Color games but does it also play the original GB ones?





If anyone has played them, is the picture quality good?

Reply:Yes they do. They can play any Game boy games. Picture quality is okay, not as good but it works.

Reply:Original, I'm not sure, but I know they play Gameboy Color and GBA games. The pokemon Series is pretty good.

Reply:Yes they do. But the screen will become smaller. You can press the R button so the game fills up the screen but some objects may be distorted
