How do I convince my mom to let me upgrade my handheld videogame system from a Nintendo DS to a SP?

I have an SP with Wario Ware and Fire Emblem, and she says I should but the other games used and get my play out of the SP. The only problem is that I really wanted a DS, when I heard the rumor in 2003, but my mom got me an SP instead. I know it was a nice thing to do, but I have had my SP for 4 years now and think I am ready to upgrade.

How do I convince my mom to let me upgrade my handheld videogame system from a Nintendo DS to a SP?
Your question had it in reverse order. So you want a DS and HAVE an SP, right?

Well, giving her facts about how much better the DS is probably won't do anything more than show her how 'cool' the system is. Give her a reason to buy you new games. Do your chores, work for some money, show her you're responsible and be mature about it. Hopefully she will see your seriousness in getting a new game system and buys it for you because you deserve it.
Reply:Just buy it yourself. It's not her hobby, is it?
Reply:tell her about the fact it plays both GBA and DS games so you don't have to keep the sp when you get a DS. also see about trade-values at stores like gamestop and EB games as they some times have specials that could greatly help to balance out the price of the DS maybe even pay for half the system when you trade in
Reply:the weird thing is i did the same thing. this is ho u get it: around your birthday pretend that ur gonna buy it with your own money and keep asking to go to the video game store. eventually on your birthdy theyll get u it. thats how i got mine
Reply:don't upgrade just have both because DS can play DS and GBA games. But can't play Gameboy Color games.SP can play GBA games and Gameboy Color Games but can't play DS games.

SO GET BOTH
Reply:ds to sp is a downgrade not an upgrade
