A person like that should have a special criminal jail sentence, no probation, just for being such a real totally dishonest person. It happens all the time with our elected officials, there should a life sentence for elected officials that break laws. This makes me sad beyond belief!
I look at Gov.Spinster (sp), I don't know if he is dem or rep. How can he even have the stupid sad face?
i am upset as well, but they are entitled to mistakes
pulic humiliation is certainly an awful sentence, however i do think that he needs to be tried in criminal court as well.
he did commit a crime
Reply:b/c he's sad he got caught
he's sad he'll be remembered only for that.
i don't feel sorry for him @ all ...
Reply:I am more sad for him wife and kids than him.
Reply:It does seem counter productive to make deals with elected officials so they dont serve any jail time. They should be held to a high standard. What kind of a deal is his resignation-he would have been impeached anyway. I guess its only the little people in society who have to pay for their crimes.
Reply:It's good that he has resigned. Now it's time for him to pay the piper. It's just sad that his family will also pay a very high price for his actions and bad judgment. He was in a powerful position. There is no justification for what he did over 10 years. He deserves what he gets. His family will pay more. I don't know how he should behave or what he should say. I think less is more. I think he should try to do what he can. My fear is that people in his circle may have already forgiven him or have been making excuses for him. He's not alone. This has happened many time, situations like this. Yes, he's human. But really that's not an excuse. He was going after prostitution and yet he was a client??
edit: If this was a one time thing then I would have more empathy. People make mistakes. However, it doesn't appear that this was a mistake. It seems like an ego trip gone wild.
